Weidmuller’s Data Demo Uses Automation Components

“Being connected is what we stand for here today,” said Ken Crawford, Weidmuller’s director of automation. At Automate 2024, Crawford talked about role of data connectivity and availability in IoT systems, highlighting the seamless integration of various components and the use of radios to transmit data.

He explained that an edge agent mines the data from the PLC controller and presents the data to an iPad using WiFi.
