Some couplings are built just for minimizing side thrust, others are meant to lower rotational inertia. There are those that are constructed to handle high torque and those that are capable of handling high temperatures and harsh environments. Each has a purpose, however, there are very few, like Servometer’s electrodeposited couplings that are manufactured with a “Twist” and can handle almost any condition you put it to test.
