Cable Meets Oil- and Abrasion-Resistant Industrial Machine Needs
Constructed with a robust polyurethane outer sheath, ÖLFLEX 409 P PUR control cable offers greater durability under harsh conditions. It’s also resistant to contact with many mineral oil-based lubricants, diluted acids, aqueous alkaline solutions, and other chemical media. As a result, the cable, developed by the Lapp Group USA, is well-suited for oil- and abrasion-resistant industrial machine tools and appliances.
A unique interstice filling functional layer on a special PVC base allows for more efficient and reliable stripping. Moreover, it enhances stripping characteristics, reduces damage to core insulation, ensures less subsequent manual processing, and reduces material waste compared to common PUR jacketed cables. The end result is savings in both time and cost.
Other components comprising the ÖLFLEX 409 P PUR cable are a fine-wire, bare copper conductor; special PVC core insulation; and twisted-layer cores.
Key specs include an intermittent flexing temperature ranging from –5 to 70°C and fixed installation temperature ranging from –40 to 80°C. Test voltage is 4000 V. Minimum bending radius for flexible use measures 12.5 × outer diameter, and for fixed installation it’s 4 × outer diameter.
