Essential Insights for Engineers at PACK EXPO 2024

Nov. 3, 2024
Multidisciplinary engineers will discover cutting-edge technologies, network with industry leaders and gain insights into sustainable practices at this premier packaging event in Chicago.

From Nov. 3-6 at McCormick Place in Chicago, PACK EXPO 2024, produced by PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, is bringing together 45,000 attendees and 2,600 exhibiting companies with packaging and processing solutions for more than 40 vertical markets.

As the world of packaging continues to evolve at a rapid pace and is a bright spot for manufacturing, the show presents an opportunity for mechanical and design engineers to immerse themselves in the latest innovation, network with industry leaders and gain insights that can help them do their jobs.

PACK EXPO is known for featuring latest advancements in packaging technology, machinery and materials. For design and mechanical engineers, the trade show floor will be saturated with cutting-edge solutions aimed at improving production efficiency, reducing costs and enhancing the sustainability of packaging processes. Engineers will have the opportunity to see demonstrations of new machinery, automated systems and robotics that can streamline operations and optimize designs.

One of the most significant benefits of attending the show is the chance to connect with industry peers, leaders and innovators. Engineers can engage in meaningful conversations, share experiences and build relationships that could lead to future collaborations or job opportunities. Networking within this environment allows engineers to exchange ideas and learn from experts, providing invaluable insights into the latest industry trends and best practices.

There will also be a robust schedule of educational sessions, workshops and panel discussions led by industry veterans and thought leaders. Topics will cover a range of interests, including automation, artificial intelligence and material science. These sessions will not only help engineers expand their knowledge base but also equip them with practical tools they can implement in their own projects.

In recent years, sustainability has become a critical concern for manufacturers across all sectors. Engineers attending PACK EXPO will find many exhibitors presenting eco-friendly packaging solutions and sustainable materials. This focus on green practices is essential for engineers looking to minimize the environmental impact in their designs. Learning about sustainable innovations can inspire engineers to rethink their approaches to packaging design and adopt more environmentally responsible practices.

Still Time to Vote for PACK EXPO’s 2024 Technology Excellence Awards

Voting for the Technology Excellence Awards at PACK EXPO International is open!  Excitement is building as the 2024 Technology Excellence Awards prepare to honor the most innovative products in packaging and processing. This year, standout exhibitors have showcased their cutting edge offerings, and industry professionals have meticulously reviewed submissions, narrowing them down to three finalists in each category, including food/beverage; general packaging & processing; personal care/pharma; and sustainability.

Voting for the coveted awards will continue through noon CT on Tues., Nov. 5. Participants are encouraged to engage with the finalists, each of whom will have their solutions on display at their booths. As part of the judging process, attendees will play a role in determining the winners by voting either onsite at the event, via the official PACK EXPO mobile app or online.

The winner of each category will be announced via a press release on Tuesday afternoon at the show. Casting your vote is a great way to have your opinion heard and to drive innovation for the future of the packaging and processing industry.
