Next-Generation CPU Enhances its Value Proposition

The P2-622 CPU from AutomationDirect expands on its predecessor’s features.

The latest addition to AutomationDirect’s Productivity2000 PLC system, the P2-622 CPU builds upon its predecessor’s functionality at a lower cost. Among the features it carries over from the original CPU:

  • Up to 50 MB ladder memory
  • An embedded OLED status display
  • Remote I/O and multipurpose Ethernet 10/100Base-T (RJ45) ports
  • A microSD card slot

The P2-622 also includes:

  • Dual software-configurable serial ports (RJ12 and 4-pin) that support both RS232 and RS485
  • A USB C programming port
  • A new system architecture that allows for future enhancements

With tag name programming, easy device integration that includes PS-AMC motion controllers, GS variable frequency drives and other focused features such as analog module data displays, these PLCs are well suited for a multitude of applications.

The Productivity2000 P2-622 CPU is priced at $299 and offers a two-year warranty. A starter kit ($649) is also available, which includes the CPU, base, power supply, I/O modules, terminal blocks, memory card, cables and documentation.
