FactoryTalk Energy Manager: Use Dashboards to Help Optimize Energy Usage

July 2, 2024
An energy performance manager that helps define key metrics and optimize energy usage with contextualized analytics.

Rockwell Automation's FactoryTalk Energy Manager software is part of an extensive FactoryTalk portfolio. The application responds to a demand for more efficient ways to monitor, analyze, optimize and report on industrial energy performance.

The FactoryTalk Energy Manager is built on the FactoryTalk DataMosaix, Rockwell Automation’s DataOps tool that enables multi-site, enterprise-wide access to data in a controlled manner. This solution brings together OT, IT and ET data sources by connecting with standard and flexible data connectors and extend communications enterprise wide.

The user interface is convenient, featuring dashboards that highlight areas for improvement and optimization. Organizations can reliably establish where, when and how energy is used and make adaptations to the overall use of energy, as well as establish baselines for their energy savings efforts.

Once an energy plant model of the underlying process at a plant, process area, line and machine level is established, users can access relevant data in context.

FactoryTalk Energy Manager dashboards allow users to make intelligent assessments by performing the following tasks:

  • Aggregate and contextualize energy data
  • Monitor, analyze and compare energy performance
  • Prebuilt real-time energy performance dashboards
  • Reporting and notification management

Rockwell Automation’s website further noted that the solution will also help compare assets, gain insights on savings and baseload and provide a forecast on important KPIs.
