June 1, 2010
The papers remove material 10% to 20% faster.

CarbiMet 2 silicon carbide (SiC) abrasive papers remove material 20% faster than the original CarbiMet, provide a consistent scratch pattern, and use water-resistant C-weight paper. The paper works in dry and wet grinding and polishing of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, titanium, copper, aluminum, and printed wired boards.
The paper is made with environmentally friendly resin in an ISO 14001/2004 certified facility with efficient water and air recycling. CarbiMet 2 comes in plain-backed 8, 10, and 12-in. discs and pressure-sensitive-adhesive-backed 2 7/8, 8, 10, and 12-in. discs in grit ranges from P60 through P1200. CarbiMet 2 rolls and strips are also available in P280, P400, P800, and P1200 grits.
