Customized machined springs let designers integrate multiple features into one piece.

Customized machined springs let designers integrate multiple features into one piece. The springs can be designed to address requirements for rate, reactions at desired deflections, combined rates, modal properties, weight, and inertial limits. Customer-specified end attachments, such as tangs, clamps, flanges, or threaded ends, can be integrated into the single multifunctional component. More than one spring-coil set (multiple starts) can be designed into a part to provide a range of spring rates and functionality within a given size.
