Torque-wrench kit - Lowell Corp.

May 27, 2010
A new torque wrench kit to properly tighten all standard fastening screws on US-style No-HUB couplings.

A new torque wrench kit contains all the tools necessary to properly tighten all standard fastening screws on US-style No-HUB couplings to either 60 or 80 lb-in. Included in each kit are two T-Torker torque wrenches and three hex sockets (¼, 5/16, and 3/8 in.). One wrench is factory preset to 60-lb maximum torque and the other to 80 lb. When maximum torque is reached during tightening, the wrenches slip to prevent overrunning. Users cannot change the presets.

Features of the wrenches include labeled torque settings, a color-coded collar for easy identification, a T-shaped handle for good leverage, and a flanged collar that can be pulled to disengage the ratchet mechanism and lock the tool for effective reversing action, without torque limitation. The wrenches’ one-handed tightening in the right-hand direction are accurate to ±10%.
