Fixed and floating barrel nuts come in sizes 0.190 to 1.5 in. and are traditionally manufactured from alloy steel, A286, Alloy 718, and AMS 6304 steel. Finishes, applied in a computer- controlled SPS plating facility, include cadmium, cadmium/molybdenum and silver. Nuts with locking features are available in nylon, Vespel, and all metal. The high-strength fasteners are for use in commercial and military aircraft, jet engines, high-performance racing vehicles, and applications requiring reliability and consistent quality.
