New Products: Energy-Efficient Valves

Nov. 22, 2008
EnergySaver 5/2 single and double solenoid pilot valves help combat high energy costs.

EnergySaver 5/2 single and double solenoid pilot valves help combat high energy costs. Conventional valves use the same pressure to extend and retract double-acting cylinders. EnergySaver valves, however, supply full pressure to move the load but reduce retraction pressure by 30%. The valve’s spool-and-sleeve design works as responsively as a pressure regulator and provides fast return motion.

The valves reportedly cut compressed- air consumption and related energy costs by up to 30%. Additional benefits include lower noise, less leakage, and extended cylinder life. The subbase-mounted valves directly replace ISO 5599/1 valves with no adapters. ISO sizes 1 and 3 are available in stock.
