An IBM on-demand service center offers small and medium business (SMB) manufacturers access to PTC's product-development software.

The service is aimed at companies that have traditionally faced obstacles in startup, infrastructure, and administration. The service will provide SMB manufacturers with Windchill for product data management and collaborative project management through shared hosted servers. The service lets manufacturers control product information, and collaborate with partners, suppliers, and customers on design activities. The service will be offered as a per-user, subscription model starting as low as $100/month, and will be sold by PTC resellers. The data-management capability works with all major CAD products. PTC's software will be hosted in IBM's Boulder, Colo., On-demand service center.
