PTFE is chemically inert to almost all known substances including corrosive liquids, vapors, and gases, and it has excellent electrical and dielectric properties. PTFE's low coefficient of friction makes it suitable for applications requiring slipperiness and durability. The components are targeted for use in valve seats and seals, bearings, gaskets, dynamic and static seals, envelope gaskets, PTFE O-rings and encapsulated rings and seals, bushings, and washers.
