New Products: Power Supplies Target Motors, Pumps

July 24, 2008
The HWS300P and HWS600P Series power supplies are for industrial equipment such as motors and pumps that demand high peak currents.

The Series is said to deliver up to 300% peak output power.

The units come in three nominal output voltages — 24, 36 and 48 V — and each can be adjusted up to +10%/–20% of nominal voltage to accommodate nonstandard system voltages. The supplies accept 85 to 265-Vac input voltages and comply with SEMI F47 (with 200-Vac line or higher) and EN61000-3-2 harmonic and powerfactor correction standards. Standard are remote on/off and dc good signals, and overvoltage/overcurrent protections, and the 600-W model has a current-share signal for paralleling two units.

The power supplies’ internal fan permits operation at –10 to 70°C ambient. .
