    Software Integrates Sourcing With PLM

    The Sourcing Community integrates sourcing, or materials purchasing, with the company's Teamcenter PLM, which provides knowledge management and collaboration capabilities to combine enterprise sourcing and change-management processes.

    As such, Sourcing Community supplies Webbased RFxs, or Requests for Proposal, Requests for Information, and the like. It combines sourcing with product-data management to deliver one-window data access for all supply-chain stakeholders. The software also lets suppliers get involved in early design stages, which helps engineers take cost out of products.
