New Product: Linear actuators

May 8, 2008
The GSX30, 40, 50, and 60 Model and I Series 30 and 40 Model electromechanical linear actuators now feature an integral force-measuring option.

A load cell embedded within the actuator obtains electronic data relating to the force being applied by the actuator. A strain-gage load sensor is mounted inside the actuator’s case. The actuator has ±1% linearity, ±0.5% repeatability and hysteresis in compression, optionally tension, and static or dynamic loads. The option comes with a separate connector for interfacing the internal load sensor to an external strain-gage conditioner/amplifier required to excite the strain-gage sensor. Strain-gage conditioners provide either a 0- to-10 V or 4-to-20-mA output for monitoring the output signal.
