Ultracapacitor Cells

May 11, 2006
A line of Boostcap ultracapacitor cells and multicell modules are intended for high-efficiency, "life-of-the-vehicle" energy storage and power-delivery applications.

The cells' compact, 650-F ultracapacitor serves as an alternative to batteries for applications including hybrid-drive systems, idle stop-start, and power-network stabilization. The ultracapacitors deliver up to 10 the power and longevity of batteries, need no maintenance, and operate reliably in extreme temperatures. Units for automotive applications come encased in a rugged, splashproof aluminum chassis.
