Coated Metal Strips

Jan. 26, 2006
Santronic strips are surface-engineered, stainless-steel products

for electronic applications including tactile domes, contact springs, and shielding. Custom coatings improve electrical conductivity and resistivity, corrosion resistance, or decorate parts. Surfaces can be single or double coated with a range of metals including aluminum, nickel, copper, and silver, or compounds such as aluminum and titanium oxides. Coatings can vary on each side and be deposited with maximum thickness tolerances of ±10% of the surface layer with guaranteed levels of surface roughness. The coated strips are cold formed and bend to tight radii, or can be cut, stamped, or etched to shape.
