Zigbee System-On-Chip IC

Jan. 6, 2005
The CC2430 combines an IEEE 802.15.4-compliant and Zigbee-ready RF transceiver with an 8051 MCU, 128-kbytes flash memory, and 8-kbytes Ram into a single 7 x 7-mm QLP 48 package.

Targeted for use in building automation, industrial monitoring and control systems, and wireless sensor networks, the chip can also be used as a general 2.4-GHz spread spectrum device. On-chip peripherals include an analog-to-digital converter, several timers including a sleep timer and watchdog, an AES-128 coprocessor, USARTs, power-on reset, brownout detection, and 21 programmable I/O pins. Development kits and samples will be available in the second quarter of 2005.
