New Products: Shaft Couplings

Aug. 7, 2008
A combination of the classic Oldham coupling and the universal joint, the Oldham/Universal coupling is suitable for applications with up to 6° of angular misalignment.

The coupling protects support bearings by exerting consistently low reactive forces, even under large misalignments. The unit comes in two versions: The UC and UI. Similar to the classic Oldham coupling, the UC model has a torquetransmitting element that’s round in cross section, rather than rectangular, that lets it pivot like a universal joint. The UI model has higher torque and stiffness capabilities.
