Antibacklash Nut

Sept. 28, 2006
The T Series antibacklash nut, or Torsional-Style antibacklash nut eliminates clearance between the threads of the nut and leadscrew.

Pushing the two nuts toward each other eliminates backlash between the two nuts and leadscrew. The nut offers adjustable drag torque — it can be very low for light loads or high for heavy loads. The nut is a proprietary blend of self-lubricating polyacetal and precisionrolled 303 stainless-steel screw material. Its self-lubricating properties make these nuts suitable for applications in the medical and food-processing industries, or wherever precise positioning is required.
