High-Power Connector

Feb. 17, 2005
PowerMod HP (high-power) connector family features touch-safe female housings, integral positive latches, and cable-strain relief.

The connector is rated 125 A at a 30°C temperature rise and may be used in appropriate applications to 175 A. Wire sizes range from #6 to #2 awg and 16 to 35 mm. Proprietary Sterling contact technology offers low electrical resistance, a minimum of 500 mating cycles, and rating for circuit interruption (true hot plug). A latching system with distinct blue buttons for clear identification improves security and ergonomics. The connectors are IP-20 rated (touch safe). Ten different housings include right angle, bus bar, panel mount, and blind-mate/float selections, delivering design flexibility for high-power interconnections.
