Linear Actuators

June 2, 2005
The 21000 Series Size 8 linear actuator occupies a 0.8-in. square space.

The actuators are available in captive, noncaptive, and external linear versions and in a wide variety of resolutions from 0.0015 to 0.04-mm per step and deliver up to 4.5-kg thrust. For finer resolution, they can be microstepped. Manufactured with engineering thermoplastics in the rotor drive nut and a stainless-steel leadscrew make the motor highly efficient and durable. Target applications include medical equipment, semiconductor handling, valve control, X-Y tables, and handheld instruments.
