Ultrashort Servocoplings

Feb. 23, 2006
Extremely short shaft couplings for medium-sized shafts typically are applied in connecting two sprocket drive systems in a lifting device.

The couplings accommodate shaft sizes up to 2 in. All parts are of carbon steel, allowing the couplings to handle repeated torque spikes that sometimes brake all-aluminum-style couplings. Removable clamp rings on the coupling allow for quick installation and removal. Coupling halves disconnect simply by removing the spider and loosening the clamp ring screws.
