TriClad has a composite construction using a Thermafoil or Thermabraid high-temperature core jacketed with metallic foil. The compressible, resilient core acts as a spring to ensure sealing as temperature changes, while the conformable metal jacket provides durability and increases life. TriClad engine seals are designed for temperatures exceeding 800°C.
