Lincoln Motors, Cleveland, offers two lines of crusher-duty ac motors for applications that require belted (radial) loads such as crushers, bandmills, chippers, hogs, balers, and compactors. The motors feature roller bearings and a high-strength, 4340 steel shaft. TEFC steel or TEFC cast-iron configurations are also available. The motors have multiple starting capabilities, mount horizontally or vertically with shaft down, are inverter-rated for use with any drive at any distance, and never need filters. Ultimate E1 models meet EPAct efficiency requirements and Ultimate E2 motors are said to deliver maximum energy savings. Shaft slingers on both ends and Premium Class F and Class H components lengthen motor life.
