10-MM Miniature Valves

Numatics, Highland, Mich.

Numatics, Highland, Mich., has extended its valve series with the introduction of a new miniature valve only 10 mm wide. The new valve Series 2002 contains fiveport, two and three-position valves, and double threeport, two-position subbasemounted valves. This function combines two valves in one compact package.

Series 2002 valves provide a small amount of air between the precision lapped stainless-steel spool and sleeve for an air-bearing effect. This offers virtually wear-free operation, low shift forces, extremely fast cycling, and flow of 200 lpm. A version with Buna gaskets permits 250-lpm flow.

A proprietary Z-board eliminates all wiring within the manifold, and multipole plug or fieldbus control is available. The fieldbus option controls up to 24 solenoids and 16 additional I/Os. DeviceNet, Echelon, Lon-works, SDS, Interbus-S, and Profibus-DP are offered.

The valves are available with interchangeable push-on fittings for easy installation and removal. End caps are offered with or without mufflers, and a standard common exhaust is well suited for clean-room applications.
