Effective May 26, the 3D Systems board of directors has appointed Dr. Jeffrey A. Graves as president and CEO. He replaces Vyomesh Joshi, who announced his retirement in February.
Graves has 17 years of leadership experience. His most recent position was an eight-year stint of CEO at MTS Systems, where he led a business strategy and operating model overhaul.
“Digital manufacturing will play a key role in the transformation of manufacturing, and 3D Systems is uniquely positioned with its portfolio of additive manufacturing systems, material science, software and domain expertise to help companies benefit from this transformation,” Graves said in a company press release.
Prior to MTS, Graves served as CEO of C&D Technologies and CEO of KEMET Electronics. He currently serves on a board of directors of Hexcel and Faro. Graves holds a doctorate in metallurgical engineering and materials science.
“Jeff’s financial and operational discipline and precision is a core reason we chose him for this role,” said Charles McClure, chairman of the board of directors, in the press release. “He has shown that he knows how to organize and focus a business portfolio and streamline an operating model to deliver differentiated solutions to markets.”
