Very Nice

I have an immediate application for this type of controller, but after watching the video, my concern is COST. Not sure what the cost is , but our system is a rather low cost implementation of a rather sophisticated device, using very low cost components and techniques.

Could someone contact me? Thanks,

Tom Kreiner

pneumatic application for wood lathe

I am building a 18" dia. x 92" wood lathe for the past two years as time permits. I currently have variable frequency drives for carriage bed travel and rotation. I had planed on controlling the cross feed against a patern with a hand lever. It works but leaves control to be desired. Whille I knew that commerical hydraulic copy lathes followed a pattern with some kind of tracer, I felt trace following a pattern was beyond my abilities until I saw your presentation about pneumatic cylinder control on "Machinedesign video/proportional-control-of-pneumatic-cylinders". So this turnes out to be an inquire instead of a comment; but is there some possibility a cylinder could trace a pattern on a copy wood lathe? Many thanks in advance for your thoughts,I look forward for your rreply. Joel Whitlock Retired
