The pneumatic 24 string guitar
This thing is definitely a piece of art, and now I need to find a trade show where I can see it up close. I was quite disappointed to not see the strings in the demonstration video, however. It would be quite interesting to see this thing performing pieces of music that we are familiar with. Of course, knowing that its creator was Rin Clippard of Clippard pneumatics, it was easy to guess what brand of parts he used.
House on the Rock
This reminds me of music machines at the House on the Rock in Dodgeville Wisconsin. They have huge "animetronic'? bands that are all pneumatically controlled, including string, wind and percussion. I visited the House on the Rock this year and was disappointed to see that the music machines have fallen into disrepair since the orginal creator, Alex Jordan, died a few years ago. The current ownership has resorted to adding speakers to replace some of the missing sounds with very limited success.
Rob Clippard should contact the House on the Rock and offer assistance restoring this amazing attraction!
Amazing
Wow, that looks like something from outer-space. This is amazing. This man has an incredible mind. To be able to put that all together and to even think of it in the first place is amazing.
