The scanners are computerized measurement devices that scan, digitally recreate, and record all of an object or area’s dimensions to create a “3D photograph” on the computer screen.

The EV4F fiber-coupled, diode-pumped green laser system marks and processes difficult materials such as colored plastics, acrylic, and polymer.

Laser diodes used to illuminate telecom fiberoptic cables keep getting smaller and smaller. But they still generate heat that needs to be removed.

A Galvo Scanner works with the manufacturer’s diode lasers so the beam spot can be focused at any point in the working field.

The Gen4 PCB laser-marking system marks and verifies ECC200 Data-Matrix symbology and other machinecode formats, man-readable text, and graphic images.

The 2D Microgage laser-alignment tool combines a laser transmitter with a receiver and digital display.

The Videojet 3430 combines high-speed coding and 50 W of laser power for beverage, brewing, food, packaging, and extrusion lines.

Supersonic flight over the continental U.S. is prohibited because of the potential damage from sonic booms, i.e., pressure waves from the jet that slam into the ground.

The HPD1110-1064 is a solid-state laser diode that simulates the 1,064-nm wavelength of an Nd:YAG laser.

Kromberg & Schubert, an automotive supplier in Germany, has developed the first 3D molded-interconnected-devices (3D-MID) made from a new laser-structurable polyamide: Electronic conductors are integrated directly into the 3D-MID surface.

A line of bright, single-emitter diode lasers work in the 650 to 690-nm wavelength region.

A VW Passat with three prototype laser sensors concealed in the body will compete in the next Darpa Challenge.

Laser light rather than heat can strip hydrogen atoms from silicon surfaces, sayresearchers at the University of Minnesota, Vanderbilt, the University ofTennessee, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Green-laser-diode modules target spectroscopy, particle measurement, medical-tissue analysis, interferometry, holography, robotic control, flow visualization, and positioning applications.

The scanner projects laser light onto a surface to be measured while a camera triangulates the reflections.
