Machinedesign 6266 Thomas 2250 Pump P 0

Pressure/vacuum pump

Feb. 11, 2014
Pressure/vacuum pump
The Model 2250 pressure/vacuum pump provides mobility and efficiency in applications such as medical, analytical and air-sampling equipment, and office machines.

The low-vibration WOB-L piston-design pump uses magnesium components that limit the pump’s weight to 2.8 lb (1.27 kg). A highly efficient 24-V brushless-dc motor offers low-power consumption. The motor’s speed varies from 1,000 to 3,000 rpm, meaning airflow can be controlled according to application needs. In addition, an optional closed-loop controller allows motor speed to be maintained at a preset, constant rpm regardless of load or voltage fluctuations.

The oilless piston and cylinder design provides clean, uncontaminated airflow up to 1.92 cfm (54.4 lpm). Maximum pressure is rated at 30 psi (2.07 bar) and maximum vacuum at 25.9-in. Hg (870 mbar).
