Magnetostrictive transducer

Aug. 30, 2013
The ONPP-A magnetostrictive transducer installs directly to pneumatic-cylinder surfaces and measures the position of a standard poston magnet. The transducer automatically performs recognition and consequent calibration, thereby eliminating any position-reading errors. A small sensor reads the entire cylinder stroke from 50 to 900 mm. Additional characteristics include direct installation on cylinder profile without brackets; anodized aluminium body with thin profile (thickness less than 1 cm), and M8 radial connection. Features include direct analog interface in voltage, infinite resolution, ±0.2% (±1 mm min) stroke linearity error, and 0.5‑mm repeatability errorGefran Inc., 8 Lowell Ave., Winchester, MA 01890, (781) 729-5249, www.gefran.com
