Custom Quad Ring gasket seals are said to offer advantages, compared with using a large number of individual seals. Quad Ring seals are molded into a connected network to form a gasket. The connected seals install faster and “seat” more consistently with less effort. The four-lobe Quad Ring has two sealing surfaces per seal, and each seal requires less squeeze to maintain a tight, leak-free fit. Made of NBR, it has good compression set, resists oil, fuel, and other chemicals, and handles temperatures from –40 to 108°C. For applications such as sealing a gearbox, Quad Rings in many custom diameters and thicknesses can be molded into a continuous web gasket.
