The sensors facilitate inspection of up to 20 parts/sec thanks to a DSP-based machine-vision unit, a matched and preset lens, as well as a fine-tuned LED ring light. Typical applications include pattern matching, measurement control, position and roundness sensing, and angle sensing. Image acquisition is through a CCD chip that can resolve detail down to 0.05 mm. A full-frame shutter automatically adjusts to ambient lighting. Various fields of view, as well as lighting from a range of colors, are options. The sensors are controlled via a trigger input and an input for the program mode. Outputs for Part OK, Part not OK, as well as Ready, simplify the integration process. Discreet results can be passed upstream via RS-232 or Ethernet interfaces.
