The semicrystalline polymers have a glass-transition temperature up to 310°C, resist harsh chemicals including chlorinated solvents, and remain stiff and dimensionally stable at temperature extremes. They are also inherently flame retardant without the use of halogenated additives. And unlike other semicrystalline polymers that are opaque, unfilled Extem resin grades are inherently transparent.
