MSC.Software Corp., Santa Ana, Calif. (www.mscdatamart.com), recently released the MSC.Mvision IDES Plastics Prospector Databank, a collection of technical materials information in a single electronic format. Engineers can query, compare, evaluate, and analyze a large number of materials alternatives quickly and efficiently. The Databank, which was developed in collaboration with IDES Inc., allows data to be automatically formatted and exported from MSC.Mvision applications, or online from MSC.Datamart, directly to computer-aided engineering applications such as MSC.Nastran, MSC.Patran, MSC.Fatigue, Ansys, Abaqus, and Cosmos.
