The Anaheim Convention Center will host an estimated 2,000 exhibitors as seven engineering trade shows roll into town. The shows, which run February 9 through 11, are targeted at those involved with manufacturing firms across all industrial sectors. The shows include Pacific Design & Manufacturing, Medical Design & Manufacturing West, Electronics West, the Green Manufacturing Expo, Automation Technology Expo, West Pack (a packaging show), and Plastics West. One a badge gets attendees into all the shows.

Conference sessions include topics in CAD/CAM and rapid prototyping, contract manufacturing, enterprise technology software, including ERP and CRM, laser technology, precision engineering, and quality management. The Lean Factory Group, a consortium that includes Bosch Rexroth, Orgatex, Leonardo Group Americas, Omron-STI, and Automation Controls, will hold demonstrations sessions that highlight the importance of data to line design, how to support lean manufacturing, and the tools needed to build a visual factory. A full schedule of complimentary Innovation Briefs will present valuable data on a range of topics, including anti-counterfeiting technology, brand protection and product traceability, sustainability and automation, plastic composites, advances in motion control, and rapid injections tooling. And a two-day conference on opportunities in renewable energy will span Feb. 9-10. covering a variety of windpower issues such as gearbox reliability, maintenance and repair strategies, and small windmill marketing and equipment.
