Standards developer NSF International has devised a new eco-efficiency protocol, NSF P352, for the validation and verification of eco-efficiency analyses. The new protocol is designed to ensure consistency, objectivity, and transparency in all eco-efficiency analyses.

NSF P352 was developed to help companies analyze the sustainability of their products and services. Eco-efficiency analyses rely upon the concepts outlined in Life Cycle Assessment standards developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 14040 through 14043). Eco-efficiency analyses evaluate both environmental and economic issues.
