New mobile field-testing equipment from GenPrime Inc. can identify potentially life-threatening toxins and microbes commonly used in biological weapons. The equipment screens for all bacterial agents identified by the Center for Disease Control as potential biological weapons, delivering results in ten minutes or less.

The Prime Alert biodetection system uses a patented fluorescent detection technology to detect the presence of harmful microbes. The protector case, made by Pelican Products Inc., features a neoprene ring that forms a waterproof seal and a Gore-Tex purge valve to balance interior and exterior air pressure.
