The clutch/brakes last up to 10 3 longer than dry-clutch brakes. Applications include packaging, material handling, food processing, automotive, and other high-cycle rate production. A compact multidisk design reduces internal inertia for cycle speeds of 200 cycles/min and up, 20-msec response, and ultraquick acceleration with maximum usable horsepower. Heat of engagement is absorbed by oil-shear action for fade-free stopping with no burned clutches while cushioning shock loads to motors and other components.
