The table shows the status of the power MOSFETs for each step. Note that the diagonally opposite MOSFETs in the H-bridge turn on each time. Switching alternates between the upper-left and lower-right MOSFETS and the upper-right and lowerleft MOSFETs. The switching action reverses the voltage polarity through the winding, reversing the magnetic polarity of the motor phase.
