Photographer Rick Graves says one of his most successful DistaCam subjects is NASCAR racing. He can capture nearly the entire field of race cars at speeds around 200 mph. His images have been used as building wraps up to 300 ft long by 7 ft tall and indoor wall displays 150 ft long by 12 ft tall. He is now working on a traveling international art exhibit featuring groups of people from different cultures around the globe. This exhibit will display rows of canvas prints 100 ft long by 6 ft tall. Visible in the insets are front and back views of Graves’ stripped-down camera revealing the Hasselblad camera body and Oriental Motor five-phase stepmotor, driver, and controller tucked neatly inside the metal frame.
