High acceleration current produces voltage droop that activates a servoamplifier's undervoltage shutdown circuit. With the servoamplifier shutdown, the motor is free to coast uncontrolled. Meanwhile, the power supply voltage recovers until the amplifier restarts and resumes motor acceleration. The system repeats this acceleratecoast cycle until the motor reaches full speed.
