A Goodyear G314 Unisteel 285/75R24.5 tire blew out after puncture repair and reinflation. The 42-in.-diameter tire was inflated to 100 psi when the blowout ripped a 15-in. gash in the tire’s sidewall and injured a worker. Another tire from the same trailer had a similar failure in service two weeks before this incident.
