The machine returned force-deflection results for 50-durometer, 0.10-in.-thick washers with 0.75-in. OD and 0.375-in. ID and for ¼-in.-diameter × ¼-in.-thick Aflas tetrafluoroethylene/propylene (TFE/P) copolymer buttons. Nominal strains went up to 50%. Individual curves show the average effects of platen roughness and lubrication.
