Siemens uses copper rotors in its 1 to 20-hp induction motors to meet NEMA Premium efficiency levels. The resulting efficiencies exceeded NEMA Premium levels. Siemens now calls its copper rotor motors the Ultra Efficient line and bills them as being the most-energy-efficient product line of motors on the market today.
