RIP Charles Vest

I was saddened this morning to learn of the passing of former M.I.T. president Charles Vest. Back in the dark ages, Vest was my thermodynamics professor at the University of Michigan. I have to admit I wasn't the best thermodynamics student. But that wasn't due to any shortcomings of Prof. Vest. He was a good instructor, eventually became dean of the U of M engineering school, then went on to MIT.

Vest was a great educator and he will be missed.
