Welded Fasteners

The most common forms of welded fasteners are screws and nuts. Welded pins or unthreaded studs are also used, but as locating or bearing surfaces, rather than as fasteners. Welded fasteners are divided into two groups: resistance-welded threaded fasteners and arc-welded studs.
