Spherical Roller Bearings
Spherical roller bearings handle heavy bidirectional radial and axial loads and compensate for misalignment between the shaft and housing or shaft deflection.
Two rows of self-guiding rollers, with a common sphered raceway in the outer ring, serve to reduce friction, minimize heat generation, and contribute to longer bearing life. High-strength bearing rings permit operation at high temperatures. Cages are of steel or machined brass (for larger bearing sizes). The bearings are available with cylindrical or tapered bores in 20 to 1,800-mm (0.7874 to 70.8661-in.) diameters. Available versions include greased-for-life sealed types; specialized styles for vibrating screens and high-precision printing presses; and advanced Explorer class bearings.
